Went to a small computer/laptop repair shop at Yishun today~The bottom base of my laptop has been getting too hot within 1 minute. Unacceptable behaviour of a laptop.
So I had my laptop's fan cleaned, after 3+years! Waited 2 hrs for it. The handsome guy who helped to clean the fan told me that the dust is almost 4 inches thick and it's blocking the fan's blades. This is so expected when it's not cleaned for 3+yrs lo!
Cost me $30, but I'm lucky that the fan wasn't spoilt/damaged. If not, I have to fork out $80. Seriously, if my laptop is HP, it would cost so much more due to whatever labour fee (forgot how much, around $95. Forgot if having warranty still includes labour fee, think have). I don't think we have any Dell Service Centre in SG, except those retailers stores only.
